Paged co-creates children’s furniture for charity. They will be created live at the DREMA 2023 trade fair.

On 12-15 September 2023 in Poznań, during the DREMA trade fair, one of the most important events for representatives of the wood and furniture industry in Central and Eastern Europe, Paged plywood will be used to produce o furniture that will later be donated to children from orphanages and a youth centre.

The initiative will allow to produce, among other things, 120 wardrobes, 100 beds, 20 sets of children’s furniture and 20 sets of youth furniture, as well as 20 sets of sensory furniture fronts for the youngest as part of the ‘KidsLikeUs’ project. These are special sensory fronts that allow children to touch the stars and move the planets – a function that is educational, creative, develops motor skills and calms. The furniture was designed by students of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology majoring in Furniture Design at the Poznań University of Life Sciences. Everything will be created by a complete production line, which will be in operation at the DREMA Fairgrounds during the event. After the event, the furniture will be donated to Ukrainian children staying in selected orphanages and to the charges of the Polish youth centre in Łobżenica. Paged is one of the companies that has joined this noble action by offering its plywood.

Paged’s participation in the event is not only about active cooperation in the production of children’s and youth furniture as part of the DREMA for Children charity campaign. It is also the substantive participation of Jarosław Michniuk, the CEO of the Paged Group, who has become a guest of the National Furniture Congress and will speak on a panel entitled: Competition with Asian manufacturers on foreign markets. The panel will take place on 13 September at 10:45 – 11:30 am in Hall 10 on the premises of the Poznań International Fair. The discussion will include topics such as the challenges faced by European manufacturing companies, and experts will discuss the directions of change and trends in the wood and furniture industry. The Polish Furniture Congress takes place during DREMA and is organised by the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Furniture Manufacturers.
