During the 8th National Furniture Congress ‘Polish Furniture – Competitive Poland’, held in mid-September this year, prestigious titles of Ambassadors of Furniture Industry were awarded. They were awarded to people who have recently been particularly involved in the furniture industry. One of the distinctions went to Jarosław Michniuk, Chief Executive Officer of Paged.
On 13 September 2023 in Poznań, during the DREMA International Trade Fair of Machines, Tools and Components for the Wood and Furniture Industries, the 8th National Furniture Congress ‘Polish Furniture – Competitive Poland’ was also held. The culmination of this event was the awarding of the industry’s prestigious title of Ambassador of Furniture. This distinction has been awarded by Polish Chamber of Commerce of Furniture Manufacturers since 2016.
The Chamber’s Council particularly recognised Jarosław Michniuk as an integrator of the wood industry, pointing to his involvement in the initiative to establish the Coalition for Polish Wood. Its overarching goal was for the timber industry to present a single, coherent voice before the State Forests and the Ministry of Climate. The justification for the award highlighted Jarosław Michniuk’s activities and involvement in initiating and conducting a lobbying process at the European Union level on the introduction of anti-dumping law on plywood imported from Russia.
