Paged Elkon is often referred to as the „transformer plywood“ since it is widely used for the production of power transformers thanks to its unique insulating and durability properties. Paged Elkon is a high density wooden laminate which depending on the arrangement of fibres in adjacent veneer plies is distinguished between the cross-grained in which adjacent plies are laid at right angles to each other and the parallel-grained (for process-related reasons, up to 15% of veneers can be arranged transversely). Paged Elkon is manufactured according to standard no. 140/08.
▪ Superb electrical insulation
▪ High durability and mechanical performance
▪ High oil absorption
▪ Ease of machining

The newly released Paged catalogue – what’s inside?
Did you know that Paged is the only manufacturer of laminated densified wood (ELKON®) in Poland and one of the very few in Europe?! Find out more in our latest product catalogue.
Carefully selected beech veneers, with limited and minor natural defects. Thanks to this ELKON® can be used in demanding power units – electrical oil-immersed power transformers.
ELKON® is used as transformer insulation. It is highly resistant, made from sustainable sourced wood and lower in weight, which makes it more efficient than metal or composite materials.
Carefully selected beech veneers, no natural defects – if you are looking for materials of top-notch quality, be sure to check the latest Paged catalog (please find the full product info attached).
